Last night, I dreamt that I shot a four-point buck. This morning, I woke up wanting to hunt. So much for dreams. I didn’t see a damn thing.
Every time I hear about how professional athletes are paid millions of dollars while school teachers are paid next to nothing, I’m thinking, “We better tell the heads of professional sports that they need to pay teachers more.”
The same for military and first responders.
The Lions didn’t win, but it was a good Thanksgiving. Aunt Barb, Brenda and Ronnie were there. I feel like a beached whale right now, so I’m going to spend the rest of the evening in the recliner, watching the Wizard of Oz. It’s on TBS.
The history of Thanksgiving isn’t really what they taught us in school, but I like what Thanksgiving is supposed to be. It’s pretty much just a harvest feast, which people have around the world. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and football thrown in the mix is a bonus.
Even so, I wish the schools hadn’t lied to us about the history of Thanksgiving.
I notice a lot of people thrashing their exes. I hear about how their exes are assholes, whores, jerks, sluts and so on. The list of things they call their exes is endless. I don’t know how much of it is true.
I had a wonderful woman once. I lost her because I was stupid. There were so many things that I did wrong during our relationship because I didn’t know any better. To this day I regret that I hadn’t been smarter
I don’t want to hear that bullshit about how there’s other fish in the sea, nor do I want any advice about what I should do or how I should feel. I had come to realize that people who preach that shit don’t know what they’re talking about.
I don’t think I had a beer in over a month. I really needed that.
