This Tuesday Night Football shit is weird as hell, but go Ravens. I never liked the Cowboys.
Thursday Night Football. Packers and 49ers. I’m pulling for the Packers.
Monday Night Football is starting. Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giant. I’m down with the Giants. Just want to relax and watch some football.
Picked it up at the store today. Figured I oughta have snacks while I watch the World Series. The Series is currently tied and it’s Game 5 tonight.
The Lions had a tense game today, and won 23-22. And they are 3-3 for the season.
Michigan kicked serious ass last night.
How are you?
Yeah, that’s what I’m cooking.
This was a very productive day. Looks like I’m going to get everything on my daily task list done today.
The White Sox and Athletics are playing. This is a deciding game for the ALDS. The Astros are already there. So are the Rays and Yankees.
The Braves are settled in the NLDS, but the rest of the National League is undecided.
Might turn on Thursday Night Football when the White Sox and Athletics are done.
Yesterday, the Detroit Tigers finished their short, miserable season in last place. The Houston Astros made it to the playoffs again, but Justin Verlander won’t pitch. He’s undergoing surgery and will miss this post season and the entire 2021 season. He’s 37 and I wonder if he’ll return to baseball when he’s healed up.
So, I’m torn between whether I’ll root for the Astros or the Chicago White Sox. Guess I’ll pull for both and see how far they get. But if the Astros and the White Sox both win the ALWS, they’ll face each other in the ALDS and I’ll really be torn.
The Detroit Lions won yesterday and Team Penske’s drivers finished in 7th, 13th and 14th place for NASCAR and 1st and 7th place for IMSA.
To everyone who is mad about the name change of the Washington Redskins. Do you really care what the team is called? You aren’t even Redskin fans. Many professional sport teams have had name changes over the years, why do you have a fixation on this one?
The Washington Redskins always sucked, anyway.
The Sunday after the Super Bowl, I wake up looking forward to a football game and….
Baseball season won’t get here fast enough.
I don’t care if the Super Bowl halftime show was sexy or not, or whatever it might have meant. I just don’t like those dance party halftime shows. I like rock concerts,. One year they had the Rolling Stones, another year they had Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, and Red Hot Chili Peppers suddenly appeared onstage once in the midst of an R&B performance, and it was super neat how the R&B guys jammed with the Peppers.
Loyal Chief fans are talking about how they stuck with their team through all the hard years, never giving up on them, though the Chiefs hadn’t been to the Super Bowl in fifty years.
And then there are Lion fans who hope year after year after year for a first Super Bowl appearance. The Detroit Lions are one of the oldest teams in NFL. There are only four teams that are older than the Lions, and each of those four teams had been to the Super Bowl. The Lions are thirty years older than the Chiefs.
Lion fans stick with the team through all the years of hardship and heartbreak, agony and torture. We become enraged and murderous. We think we can’t take it anymore and yet we keep coming back with hopes that this new season will be ours.
Because we really love the Detroit Lions. We love them, though they often leave us feeling let down. The Detroit Lions are our team no matter what. It’s loyalty in the truest form.
I’m a Lion fan and I’m proud of it.
