The Red Sox won the ALCS and Houston is out. I might still watch the World Series, but don’t know who I’ll root for.
The Red Sox just beat the Astros again and they’re leading the ALCS 3-1. The Dodgers beat the Brewers earlier and are leading the NLCS 3-2.
The Pistons had their first regular season game today, beating the Nets 103-100.
I started watching the Netflix series, the Haunting of Hill House. I like it so far. It’s creepy.
My sister took the picture before I headed out today. I got in a few hours of hunting. It was pretty windy, and a bit cold. But it’s better when it’s cold. If you shoot a deer on a warm day, it might rot before you can get it butchered.
I really wanted to use my regular compound bow this year. I didn’t use it much in the past because the ceiling in my shack was low and the top of the bow would hit the ceiling. The ceiling of my tower’s blind is plenty high enough for a regular bow, and I might have used it. But I did something to my left elbow a couple months ago. It hurts when I draw back the string on the regular bow and I can’t hold it for long.
So, it’s the crossbow again.
I’m starting to think I’m going to need surgery to fix whatever’s wrong with my elbow. Think I tore something.
The Pistons beat the Cavs. They played on the Michigan State court today, not sure why. I have Game 1 of the Dodger-Brewer NLCS on. Top of the 6th, LAD 1- MIL 5.
I’d kill for some tacos right now.
The Red Sox just beat the Yankees and won the ALDS. They’ll face Justin Verlander & the Astros in the ALCS. On the National League, the Dodgers and the Brewers will face each other in the NLCS.
I’m still rooting for Houston. As long as they have Verlander, they’re my backup team.
I ordered my deer license today, a buck tag and a doe tag. My dad and I started putting my hunting tower together. We’ll probably finish it tomorrow. Got home in time to see Michigan beat Northwestern. I have the Tiger-Brewer game on. Top of the 6th, 5-5. Tomorrow is the Tigers’ last game of the season.
Justin Verlander & the Astros will be in the playoffs. I’ll be rooting for them.
Just finished cleaning the bedroom. Been at it all morning. And I decided to rearrange the furniture. Now the bed and the bedside table are on the other side of the room, and the dresser is turned another way. The room seems to have more space this way.
Now I’m having a beer. The Tigers start at 1. I’ll probably be cleaning the kitchen and watching the game during breaks.

I just became a great uncle today.
The Tigers are in third place. There’s not enough games left in the season for them to get ahead of the Indians, but they could steal second place from the Twins.
Meanwhile, in Houston, Justin Verlander’s team is in first place.
The Michigan team is in the Little League World Series. I’m watching it on ESPN now. Bottom of the 5th, Michigan 1 – Iowa 4. Quick, give Michigan the green M&M’s.
They stopped the game for a bit while it rained, but things got back up and running. The Tigers won, 6-1.
Justin Upton plays for the Angels now. He had a two year stint with the Tigers and is one of my favorite players. Last year, the Tigers traded him away along with other favorites of mine.
The Tigers just showed Cleveland what baseball in Detroit is all about.
I wrote 1,246 words (7 pages) in two hours today, on a story. Going downstairs to hit the speedbag for a while, and then I’m going to have a two-hour session on the novel.
